The Freighter Good; Identity and Branding

'The Freighter Good' is a non-profit organization that looks to extend aid to Africa by way of donated clothing & footwear. Starting from the ground up, the process began with my 'Identity Therapy'© exercise which—very importantly—involved brand pedigree, visual back-story, color story and naming, as the organizers had no true name attached to their noble efforts. A play on the phrase "the greater good", which alludes to a wider focus on service to many, was coupled to literal method by which the charitable goods would be transported to their destination; they would be shipped by way of freight containers.

The logo reflects the charitable "gift", as well as a representation of the literal inter-modal freight container. Stenciled lettering adds to the nostalgic feeling of markings on large shipping crates.
