RDQLUS was contacted by by my good friends at Tribecca Designs to illustrate a series of Art Nouveau-style gallery prints for their client Cer Té, a quaint continental cafe/caterer in Midtown Manhattan. The desired look was the sketch style with implied lighting to flesh out the shapes of the scenerey, remeniscent of a Cappiello piece. From freehand pencil sketches, I depicted Cer Té cafes as the subject of continental European café scenes. The final products were full-sized, 18" x 24" framed posters, with the final piece being a 36" x 24" landscape scene. Cer Té is a successful one-and-only, and in the highest and humbling compliment of the work, the owners and staff routinely get asked if the prints are of other Cer Té Cafes, worldwide.
