Abigail & Adam's Wedding Invites
art direction / illustration / stationery design

Abi Lewis had a very simple list of demands for a bride-to-be; good looking, cost-effective, match the green of her wedding and, if possible, illustrate a peony flower for her wedding invites. A long-time "Friend of RDQLUS" it was my privilege and honor to deliver on all accounts, even if all proved a very good challenge.
The resulting invite was quite possibly the most shockingly cost-effective project RDQLUS has produced, yet it gave up nothing on quality. The self-protecting invite also cut down on the cost and need for an extra envelope.
The peony illustration was achieved by using the number (3), meant to represent the Holy Trinity as well as the joining of two families to make a third, forming the petals of the peony flower. Abi, so happy with the outcome of the mark went on to use it for all things wedding related, making it the official monogram of the wedding party.
