2010 Omaha Mayor's Walks Campaign

identity system / icon development / illustration / brochure design / headline writing

Lead agency; Emspace Group (Omaha, NE)

In cooperation with one of my favorite studio collaborators, Emspace Group, I was called upon to create a campaignable system that would be the face of the annual community health events involved in the 2010 Mayor's Walks, but keep it loose enough to not grow a full identity of its own.

Icon development came in the form of the "icon shoe tread" built from imagery involving healthy living. The logo for this year's iteration of the walks was a phrase I chose to give a call-to-action right up front whcih also aided in keeping it from being a full identity, as it was more a phrase than a naming convention.

Pocket maps outlining each of the walks were created to be able to fold normally and then fold again for small storage—a feature brilliantly suggested by the team at Emspace. Upon opening, the brochure reveals information about the area and shows the walk route.
