100 Habits of Successful Freelance Designers

An important achievement in the story of RDQLUS is the opportunity I was afforded to add "author" to the list of things that I have been able to accomplish. In the summer of 2007, Rockport Publishers—a perennial staple in the publishing of creative class books—approached me and asked if I would author a book geared toward true career design "freelancers" and independent creative professionals. After much debate, I decided that taking it head-on was the only way to go.

The result in an almost 200-page endeavor of love that features writing, and design work from myself and other very talented indie creatives. The book also features a custom hand-drawn set of line drawings that were to become icons used to identify the general meanings of each "habit".
